Welcome to this 1948 Chev 3100 Pickup Truck Project, by John Immink, in Perth, Western Australia...

As a mechanic, with his own business a number of years ago, John has always dabbled in interesting vehicle projects, whether for himself or others... Over that time he has built a range of skills enabling him to confidently take on a project such as this, although each one has its own challenges to be overcome. So come and join John, in bringing this project to fruition and share the issues, problems, and sometimes frustrations he has to deal with, in making this project come to life...

This project is about restoring this1948 Chev Truck or Pickup, as they call it in the USA, with a few things added, to make it a little more unique, interesting and fun. So if you are interested in following along and finding out what John has in mind for the project, join us. 

Due to selling my Torana SS Hatchback I want to do another project so the Chev Mad 48 truck was born.

Through a couple of mates I ended up with two trucks one was complete and the other was a cab and fenders missing a bonnet and rh door. the other one was a complete truck.

So it was off  Kalgoorlie to pick up the truck when I got there I really only wanted the cab and complete front body work. spent half a day to remove the cab and other bits then we loaded it to to a trailer and back to Perth the next day.
